We are so excited that Stefanie and Moses' amazing modern wedding was chosen to be featured on the San Diego Weddings of Distinction website and blog! Stefanie and Moses are such a fun couple and celebrated a beautiful outdoor ceremony overlooking San Diego's downtown on the beautiful outdoor ceremony site of the Admiral Kidd Club, a military wedding venue located in the Point Loma area. We are so excited to showcase Sharina + Rafael's amazing El Cortez wedding. Sharina and Rafael are an adorable urban couple who live right in the heart of San Diego's East Village, making the El Cortez Don Room the perfect location for their urban outdoor wedding. We love the outdoor ceremony site on the patio overlooking beautiful San Diego, and the Don Room ballroom is of course one of San Diego's historic wedding venues.

We have all seen the devastation and sorrow that hit Haiti following the earthquake on Tuesday. Our hearts and prayers go out to the hundreds of thousands of families and lives affected forever by the loss of loved ones. We want to help in some small way to raise funds for the Haiti Relief efforts. Today through Sunday, January 17th, 2010 for every $20 in prints you purchase, Theorie will donate $10 to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief effort.

There is nothing you have to do to qualify. Every order of photographic prints placed on our online gallery between today and Sunday, January 17th, 2010 will qualify. San Diego has some amazing wedding vendors, but one of our favorites is the organic espresso catering and wedding coffee stand service Joes On The Nose. They are available for your wedding or special event and can be found at many of the local farmer's markets too! The Orange Coffee Truck is impossible to miss, and was just around the corner from Donnille and Lukasz's wedding ceremony in Little Italy. We posted some pictures we did with Donnille at the Orange Coffee Truck on our Facebook Fan Page, and we were so excited to see that the Bridal Inquirer Blog featured our post!

postcards from canada

We just got back from a fabulous trip to the eastern part of beautiful Canada, where we spent a week with Amy's family on Kaminiskeg Lake. It was the first time Maurice had the chance to meet our new niece Samantha, so it was extra special, since this was a place Amy's family has been going for more than 20 years. The pictures with the green deck show the view of the lake from the front yard ... spectacular and breathtaking and oh so peaceful. It was rather chilly the week we were there, so we snuggled by the fire playing board games and Wii and even made s'mores with coat hangers ... fun! One day we took a drive through the Algonquin National Park. Though we didn't see a moose, we found some amazing vistas and took a fun trek through a bog. Canada is a beautiful country, full of rocks, trees and water. The seasons are well on their way to changing up there, with a few signs like the leaves turning vibrant colors and falling to the earth. We hope you enjoy the postcards!

We are so excited to have one of our Balboa Park weddings featured on the website and wedding blog of SanDiegoWeddingsofDistinction.com. As you may know, we were recently featured in a member profile on the site.

Angie and Paul's outdoor wedding was held at a favorite San Diego wedding location, The Prado at Balboa Park. Their ceremony was held in the Prado's picturesque outdoor garden terrace, the perfect venue for their summer wedding. The reception was held in the Loggia Room, one of the Prado's more intimate banquet rooms, which features an outdoor patio where guests enjoyed the cocktail hour. Though the couple lives in San Diego, it was a destination wedding for many of their friends and family who traveled to San Diego from as far away as Hawaii.

we were so excited to have some of rebecca and barry's wedding photos featured in the local news journal, la jolla light. rebecca and barry's wedding was the very first to be held at the brand new robert paine scripps seaside forum, a beautiful new san diego wedding venue, just perfect for brides looking for a beach wedding without the fuss of too much sand : ) the scripps seaside forum features a lawn overlooking the ocean and adjacent to the scripps research pier. receptions are held inside the lecture hall, which offers a full wall of windows for enjoying the sunset. the forum is perfect for destination weddings like rebecca and barry's and we're sure it will become one of the more popular san diego wedding locations. the forum featured amazing modern and contemporary architecture, an amazing backdrop for our fresh, fun, urban and modern wedding photography. we want to thank melissa barrad, principal coordinator and designer of i do weddings, for being so much fun to work with at rebecca and barry's wedding! click here to read the full article at the la jolla light.
